Las Vegas Entrepreneur Develops National Networking Group for Work-At-Home Moms

Every day in the United States at least ten mothers start their own home based business and become Work-At-Home Moms (WAHMs), yet there are only four WAHM groups nationally, none of which have active affiliates in Las Vegas.  A surprising fact when you realize that the Las Vegas/Henderson area is one of the fastest growing communities in the nation, and that home-based businesses are one of the fastest growing forms of business in the United States.  Work-At-Home Mothers in Las Vegas are left alone without much direct support which is a frightening concept for any first time business owner let alone one who has to fit play group in between consulting sessions or product delivery runs.

Las Vegas resident, Gina Robison, who is President of The Marketing and Business Development Corporation, saw a need for mothers with at home businesses, like herself, to network together, support each other, and learn from each other.  After searching and not finding exactly the type of organization she was looking for, Gina has started a new national networking group based in Las Vegas called MIB [Moms In Business] Networking Group.

With first-hand expertise at owning and managing a home based business this mother of two, knows the needs, concerns, and hardships that work-at-home moms (WAHMs) experience. Gina has spent over 10 years in the entertainment industry as an agent and marketing director for Martini Productions, which later merged into Jarrett-Martini Productions when it moved to Las Vegas.  Martini Productions was handed to Gina when her father, Joe Martini, became ill with liver cancer.  With a recent college degree and no experience, Gina dug in and kept the business going.  “It’s a family business”, says Gina, “My mother came back to the business after my father died, and we ran it together out of her home with my six month old daughter at our feet.  It was a crazy time because my mother was also taking care of my bedridden grandmother.  Somehow we managed to build a successful business in the midst of it all.”  Now Gina is President of  The Marketing and Business Development Corporation which specializes in the marketing and business needs of small and home based businesses.

The connection to the movie name “MIB (Men In Black) is no accident, “I like the whole identity that the term MIB has, so when I came up with the name “Moms In Business” the whole MIB imagery took shape.  It conveys the attitude that work-at-home moms are “strong and taking care of business,” explains Gina.

The group will give special attention to the needs of home based business owners although the group is open to all business owning moms.  The group highly encourages the involvement of women who have grown children as well, “I feel that the generation that has “been there, done that” can really be an asset to our first time business owners and can offer guidance and support to the group like no one else can”.  The organization is also unique in that there are no yearly membership dues.  Membership is free.  We charge only for the seminar/networking meeting.  Charges range from $5.00 to $20.00/meeting depending on the guest speaker, and meetings will be held every other month at first.  To learn more about the MIB Networking Group call 702-732-8410 or visit the website at http://go.to/MIBnetwork.

Gina has also set forth another new project in motion to further help mothers in the entrepreneurial world.  She will be conducting a two-part seminar for the City of Henderson entitled “Mompreneurship” that educates women about all aspects of owning, managing, and marketing an at-home business successfully.  For more information about this seminar  call the City of Henderson’s Whitney Ranch Center at 450-5885.
